Sisterhood of the World

Recently, I was nominated by a friend of mine, and fellow blogger (Travel the Unbeaten Path), for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. She is an amazing woman, a great writer, and lover of everything nature.

The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award recognizes the unique voices of women bloggers around the world and the rules are simple: Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their site. Answer the 10 questions sent to you. Make up 10 new questions for your nominees to answer. Nominate 10 other bloggers, link them in your post and notify them of their nomination via social media. And have fun!

Along with her nomination, I was posed with some unique, get-to-know-you sort of questions. For your reading pleasure, I will answer these questions below.

1. How has blogging impacted you and your life? I've always enjoyed writing and editing (I was a writer for my HS newspaper for a couple years and even wanted to be a news broadcaster!). I don't really possess the confidence to write publicly, so a blog is my little way of "secretly" writing and convincing myself that no one reads it anyway.
2. What's the favorite post you've written? (Add a link!) I haven't written that many, yet, but I would have to say that my favorite post was probably the one about biodegradable diapers.
3. How do you find time to juggle it all, parenting, blogging, working, having a social life? I have NO idea! I work full time, 30 minutes away from my house, have a 6yr old daughter in 1st grade, and an 8mo old daughter. My husband and I have an amazing family; parents who babysit a lot! We don't get much adult time, and when we do, it's usually spent at home, watching TV!
4. What is something special you do to treat yourself? Now that I think about it, I don't do much to "treat" myself, necessarily. I used to get pedicures, but with a second baby, cash can be a bit tight.
5. Do you take spontaneous trips or are you more of a planner? When I was younger and single, I LOVED impromptu excursions, but as I get older and now that I have littles, it's much more difficult to just pack up and head out. Much planning usually has to go into going anywhere more than an hour away from home.
6. Where was your last trip to? I went with my mom to Wisconsin last October to surprise my cousin for her baby shower. We have babies 3mo apart, so we got to hang out for a few days, all big and preggo! Before that, our family went to Maui for a week. That was June 2014.
7. Where is your dream vacation destination? Oh my gosh, anywhere out of the country. I want to go to England, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Virgin Islands, Australia!
8. Weirdest fact about you? Umm....Yikes! I'm pretty boring. I was banned from South Korea for 5 years.
9. Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self? What wouldn't I tell myself at 18?! 1. Specialize in something; a field. 2. All this drama wont last forever. 3. Time passes so much faster than you realize.
10. Are you a light packer or I-should-take-everything-just-in-case type of gal? I ATTEMPT to pack light, but then I pack everything and the kitchen sink!

As stated above, I now have to nominate 10 other bloggers. The women I've chosen have made me laugh, think, and even shed a few tears. They are educational, entertaining, and interesting! Please check them out and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
