Experience Thrive and See What All the Fuss is About!
About two years ago, my friend Sara introduced me to a product called Thrive by Le-Vel. "All you have to do is take these pills and then drink a shake," she said. She sent me a three day sample and I must be honest, I let it sit on my counter for months before throwing it away. Allow me to explain; I do NOT like eating/drinking things that look or smell suspicious. Since I did not know anything about this so-called shake, I certainly was not going to drink it! For all I knew, it would taste like those diet shakes or protein shakes or workout shakes. No thanks! Cut to about six months ago when my friend asked me if I ever took the pills or drank the shake. I told her no and she asked why. I informed her of my fear and she proceeded to explain to me that the shake actually tastes really good. I also didn't have the foggiest idea what this product was supposed to do for me, which made me even more suspicious. Three months ago, my mom and I went to the Phoenix Women's Expo where I ran into a Thrive promoter who allowed me to spin a prize wheel, yay! I won a four day trial pack and a week's supply of their other product, Boost. The promoter told me that the shake tastes like cake batter. Those were her exact words, "cake batter." The next morning, I decided, what the hell, and took the two pills, followed by the shake 30 minutes later. When I tell you that this lady knew what she was talking about, I'm not kidding! It tasted exactly like vanilla cake batter! It was delicious!! I could have drank this stuff all day long. ALL. DAY. LONG. I did find that it doesn't dissolve well in water, so I mixed it with almond milk and put it in the blender. Voila, breakfast! I forced my husband to try it and he loved it as well. I just wish I had trusted Sara two years ago!
I did some searching on the Le-Vel website and came to find that this is a bit of a lifestyle change. You must be able to follow directions and get on a schedule with this stuff. First thing in the morning, you take the 2 Thrive Premium Lifestyle Capsules with a glass of water. Well, I don't know if you MUST take it with water, but that's what I do. 30-40 minutes later, you drink the Thrive Premium Lifestyle Mix. You can dissolve it in water, milk, juice, whatever. It has a sweet flavor, so I like it with milk. Like I mentioned earlier, it doesn't dissolve that well, so I stick it in the blender and that seems to do the trick. You can use additional products if you wish, but at first I just did the pills and shake. The claim is that the pills and drink mix are designed to work together to help reduce inflammation, joint and muscular pain, increase cognitive performance (ie: focus and mental clarity), balance your digestive system, and reduce appetite. This is not an exhaustive list, just a brief explanation. Now to discover if all the hype was true.
The first few days I didn't really notice any difference. Maybe I had a little more energy throughout the day, who knew, really. After taking the product religiously for a week or so, I noticed I was able to get out of bed a lot easier than I had in the recent past. I wasn't dragging my butt along in the morning. Once my alarm went off, I got up, got into the shower, and got going. I also began to notice I wasn't making a beeline for the coffee maker right away. One morning I drank one cup of coffee before going to work, another day I drank half of it, yet another day I only took a couple swallows. Before I knew it, I wasn't making any at all. As a matter of fact, my Keurig started to collect a fine layer of dust! While I wasn't noticing any significant weight loss, my digestive system was definitely being...ahem...cleaned out. A month passed and I realized my bones didn't seem to hurt as much. I would get a minor headache here and there, who doesn't, but my general aches and pains seemed to fade. So far, I haven't noticed a huge improvement in the mental clarity department, but I'm a pretty scatterbrained person naturally, so I doubt any miracle supplement will cure that!
My opinion? So far so good! I love the taste, I love how I'm feeling, and I cannot wait to see how things go in the upcoming weeks.
*Update*
I ran out of my Thrive shakes a few weeks ago, so I stopped doing the program altogether (shake, capsules, DFT patch). I didn't want to use one thing and not the other. For the first few days, I didn't notice anything, so I thought, "huh, maybe this WAS all in my head." After about a week, I noticed how tired I would be midday, it was super difficult to get out of bed, and by 8:30pm I was ready to jump back in it! My back is aching, the arthritis in my left pointer finger hurts like hell, am I'm. Just. Tired. Long story short, I cannot wait to buy the system again!
